MEET COLBY

Colby Lane is an intuitive abstract artist based in Winter Park, Florida, where she lives with her husband and son.

Guided by emotion, movement, and a deep love for color, Colby’s creative process is rooted in the belief that art is both meditative and transformative. For her, the act of making is a form of healing—an invitation to joy and a way of exploring harmony through texture, color, and self-reflection.

Colby’s passion for art spans beyond the canvas. Throughout college and the years that followed, she worked in the art supply and custom framing industries, holding various sales and leadership roles. She especially enjoyed teaching product demonstrations in Savannah, Georgia, and leading custom framing classes for active duty military members and their families at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

She studied Fine Art, Health Sciences, and Criminal Justice at the University of Central Florida. During her final semester, she studied studio art abroad in the Cycladic Islands of Greece, where she participated in exhibitions on the island of Paros. Her work has been featured at the Scott Laurent Collection in Winter Park, as well as local restaurants in Baldwin Park, and the Winter Park YMCA’s Art of Giving celebration.

Colby creates using high-quality acrylics and mediums on canvas and artist panels, and she also works in digital photography and digital painting.
